Abstract

This study focuses on the life and work of Mercedes Cervelló, a 19th century educator who dedicated a large part of her career to teaching in the province of Ñuble. The teaching strategies and approaches that Cervelló used in his classes, as well as their impact on the local community, are also analyzed. The article presents Cervelló as an important figure in the history of education in Chile and highlights his commitment to quality teaching and the promotion of equal opportunities for all students.
