Los gnósticos y el platonismo pitagorizante

Abstract

La filosofía griega ha influido de diversas maneras en el pensamiento patrístico considerado cristiano ortodoxo. Las dos formas más conocidas y consagradas por la heresiología y por el uso didáctico han sido: (1) la de la filosofía entendida como el tipo o figura del modelo (antitipo) intelectual cristiano; y (2) la de la filosofía interpretada como “sierva de la teología”. En el fondo se trata de dos respuestas que rechazan y replican a la forma gnóstica del pensamiento cristiano preexistente a las otras dos, y que es de naturaleza pneumática y de práctica misteriosófica.AbstractGreek philosophy has influenced in different ways the patristic christian orthodox tought. The two most proeminent and honored forms, consacrated by heresiology and by didactical use, are: (a) the interpretation of philosophy as a type or model (antitype) of intellectual Christiansm; and (b) the philosophy as “handmaid of theology”. In fact, both are answers that reject and replicate the Gnostic form of Christian thought that precede them, answers that are pneumatic in nature, and misteriosóphics in their practice.
