“MENSAJERO DEL SEÑOR”: LECTURAS SOBRE EL DON PROFÉTICO EN MALAQUÍAS

En este artículo se presentan características del don profético a partir del libro de Malaquías. Se identifica que la función de Malaquías es de un mensajero circunstancial del Rey Yhwh, que es enviado ante la necesidad de corregir las malinterpretaciones que el pueblo tiene de la Torah, y consolidar la relación de pacto que peligra. Malaquías enseña que el don profético es de carácter pastoral, teológico, escritural, y que surge como una iniciativa de gracia por parte de Yhwh. Malaquías también se muestra consciente de que su actividad es parte de una continuidad profética enmarcada en una historia mayor que avanza hacia una consumación por medio del juicio de Yhwh. AbstractThis article presents characteristics of the prophetic gift as seen in the book of Malachi. Malachi‟s function is identified as that of a circumstantial messenger of the King Yhwh, sent because of the need of correcting the misinterpretations that the people have of the Torah and to consolidate the covenant relationship that is in danger. Malachi teaches that the prophetic gift is of pastoral, theological, and scriptural character, and that it rises as an initiative of grace on behalf of Yhwh. Malachi is also aware that his activity is part of a prophetic continuity framed in a greater history that advances towards a consummation through the judgment of Yhwh.
