Abstract

The reality of a student majoring in Theology differs from the students of other degrees offered at the River Plate Adventist University because it is expected that his incorporation responds to a divine calling, which implies a concept broader than vocation. Every student is trained to become a religious minister in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, but the time and money spent do not guarantee a future job because it is possible that the Church do not hire them. With those peculiarities in  mind, the professor and students of the 2019 cohort of the course Dinámica Eclesial [Ecclesial Dynamics] prepared this exploratory field study to analyze the religious habits of the Seminary students, the perception they have of the degree’s curriculum, and their expectations of different aspects of the student life and their future work. To this end, a questionnaire with 54 items was applied, which is analyzed in this article.
