Abstract

This article aims to explore the possible purposes that Jesus had in performing miracles of healing. The account of Mark 2,1-12 is appropriate for this purpose since it conveys with precision the nature of Jesus’ work toward humanity. Jesus’ miracles are a call to conversion and are related to His mission, and it is from this perspective that they must be looked into. Jesus guides the situation in the house with the purpose of discipling those present.
