In this paper, the aspects of Catholic hermeneutics from the Council of Trent to the
promulgation of Verbum Domini by Pope Benedict XVI will be analyzed in a descriptive,
panoramic and documentary way. The purpose of this panoramic study is
to examine the development of Catholic hermeneutics to extract recommendations
based on a critical observation that can stimulate hermeneutical reflection in the Adventist
world, considering the dangers or possible implications of the hermeneutical
dynamization observed in Roman Catholicism since the Counter-Reformation.
