Vere Fitzroy Chamberlayne was born in Argentina in 1905. He converted to Adventism
in Patagonia as a result of the colporteur ministry and devoted his life to this work. He served as a colporteur for the Alto Paraná Mission, the Magellan
Mission, in Argentine Patagonia, and in the Islas Malvinas. Beyond its biographical
interest, this study seeks to highlight a central dimension of the colporteur
ministry within the historical identity of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
