The defilement of the conscience and sacrifices to idols in 1 Corinthians 8,1-13

This article focuses on a study in context of 1 Corinthians 8,7 referring to the defilement
(molunō) of the conscience and in relation to what is sacrificed to idols (eidōlothutos).
The first part of the paper includes an introduction to the problem and
the context of discussion of the passage. The second section deals with the structural
considerations of the pericope. Then the main aspects arising from the exegesis of
versicles 1-13, especially considering the relationship between the words molunō and eidōlothutos. Finally, the conclusions derived from the analysis of the text will be mentioned.
