Resumen

El artículo considera el recorrido necesario en el proceso de lectura de los textos proféticos a fin de que hoy sigan teniendo sentido como palabra de Dios. Toma como modelo de estudio el libro del profeta Jeremías, por ser el que más claramente evidencia este proceso. Primero trata la relación entre la palabra del profeta y la revelación e inspiración divinas. Entonces, la relación entre esa experiencia personal y el cumplimiento de la función profética en el entorno social del profeta. Luego, a partir de que el mensaje profético se pone por escrito y dada la evidencia de relecturas en el texto canónico, se aborda el tema de los redactores y el horizonte de lectura final. Por último, se describe el funcionamiento de la necesaria actualización del mensaje profético canónico para que nos sea útil hoy como palabra de Dios, y para constatar la existencia de voces proféticas en nuestros días. SummaryThis paper traces the itinerary needed in the process of reading prophetic texts so that they may still make sense as God's word. Accordingly, it uses the book of Jeremiah as a study guide, since the process can be better seen in that book. First of all, it deals with the relationship between the prophet's words and God's revelation and inspiration. Then, the relationship between that personal experience and the fulfillment of the prophetic role within the prophet's social context. Then, and since the prophetic message is given a written form and as a result of the evidence showing rereadings of the canonical text, the paper discusses the role of editors and the horizon of an ultimate reading. Finally, the paper describes the process of a needed update of the canonical prophetic message so that can be still useful as God's word, and in order to prove the existence of prophetic voices in our days.
