Tras las huellas del pacto social

Resumen

El autor no se propone realizar aquí un trabajo de erudición sino de información sobre este tema. En este artículo se señala, ante todo, la importancia que posee actualmente una teoría del pacto social y de la justicia social fundada en él. Se hace luego una introducción al tema del pacto y de los orígenes de esta idea, y una mención a la concepción de pacto social a través de G. Ockham y F. Suárez. El desarrollo del artículo constituye un análisis informativo sobre las ideas acerca del pacto social en Th. Hobbes, J. Locke y J. Rousseau, que establecen los fundamentos de la política moderna en esta cuestión. Finalmente se comparan las coincidencias y divergencias de estas concepciones y se llega a algunas conclusiones acerca del ser social en la concepción filosófica moderna del mismo.SummaryThe author’s intent is not to elaborate an erudite paper but to offer information on this theme. In the present article it is pointed out the importance that is given nowadays to the theory of the covenant and of the social justice that is founded on it. Afterwards an introduction on the matter of the pact and the origins of this idea is made followed by a specific emphasis on the concept of covenant with G. Ockham and F. Suarez. The article itself is an informative analysis on the ideas regarding the social pact in the work of Th. Hobbes, J. Locke and J. Rousseau that establish the fundaments of the modern politic concerning this matter. Finally, the coincidences and the opposites of these theories are compared and some conclusions regarding the social being in the modern philosophical thinking are reached.
